Trips
A trip is the container for one customer journey: one anchor product, every quotation that led to it and every purchase order sold into it, from any channel, before or during the journey.
The anchor
Every trip has exactly one anchor: the product the journey is built around. For a cruise tenant the anchor is the sailing (productId) and the cabin or category (unitRef), with departureAt, returnAt and market. Once the reservation system confirms the booking, the anchor also carries reservationRef. The product types allowed to anchor a trip are set in the configuration (trip.anchor_product_types); a second anchor on the same trip is refused with 422 second_anchor.
Status
A trip's status is derived from its purchase orders:
| Status | When |
|---|---|
lead | Opened, nothing quoted yet. |
quotation | At least one quotation, no option or booking. |
option | At least one purchase order on option. |
booked | At least one purchase order booked, frozen or closed. |
closed | Closed explicitly with POST /trips/{tripId}/close, which requires every purchase order to be cancelled or closed (otherwise 409 orders_open). |
Each change to the trip is appended to its changes history (purchase order added, order status changed, order change, anchored, status), and version increases.
Reading a trip
| Need | Call |
|---|---|
| The trip record | GET /order-orchestration/trips/{tripId} |
| Everything a console shows | GET /order-orchestration/trips/{tripId}/view: the trip, its purchase orders with lines, its quotations, a roll-up of line statuses, pending status feedback, open alerts and the integration timeline. |
| A customer's trips | GET /order-orchestration/trips?customerRef= |
| Balances | GET /oms-ops/balances/trip/{tripId} and …/passengers |
| A care view | GET /oms-ops/care/trips/{tripId}: lines, balance, payments, marks and service-recovery cases. |
Passengers
Trips do not hold a separate passenger manifest. Passengers are referenced on order lines (passengerIds), and money is split to passengers from there (see Payments and allocation). Removing a passenger is a change to the lines they travel on.
See the reference for Trips.
